Hillcrest has NAP Tax Credits available!
Missouri businesses or individuals with Missouri business income may qualify for NAP tax credits. The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) provides tax benefits for Missouri businesses that financially support Hillcrest Transitional Housing. When your business donates to Hillcrest, it will receive a credit equal to 50% of the donation to be used towards State taxes - this means the amount of money you owe in Missouri taxes is reduced by 50% of your donation. This tax credit combines with your federal and state charitable income tax deduction to lower the cost of your gift even more. Here's an example of how it works:*

Step 1: Your business makes a qualifying gift to Hillcrest
Any qualified person, firm, or corporation in business in Missouri is eligible to receive credits, including:
- Individuals with income from royalties or rental properties
- Sole proprietors
- Corporations
- S-Corporations
- Limited liability corporations
- Farm operations
Step 2: Complete your NAP Tax Credit Application
When Hillcrest receives your gift, you will be sent a Neighborhood Assistance Program Tax Credit application. You must fill out and notarize the application and include proof of your donation.
Step 3: Return your application to Hillcrest Transitional Housing
When you return your completed application, Hillcrest Transitional Housing will sign the application and submit it to the Department of Economic Development. In 4-6 weeks, you will receive information from the Department of Economic Development with instructions on how to claim your tax credits.
