National Homelessness & Hunger Awareness Month

Hillcrest joins with hundreds of organizations across the nation each November to bring awareness to hunger and homelessness issues.

Join us November 12-20, 2022 as we help bring awareness to the issues of homelessness and hunger in our community. Here's how you can get involved:

    Prayer and Action Guide

Download our prayer and action guide for specific ways you can pray about homelessness in Kansas City, and ideas for what you can do to combat it. Share this guide with others! Post it on social media; make it available at your church; e-mail it to friends, family, and colleagues. Help us spread awareness!

    Take the Hillcrest Budget Challenge!

Since 1976, the cornerstone of the Hillcrest 90-day Transitional Housing Program has been the program requirement to learn to budget using an “all needs, no wants” approach. Each year our residents pay off more than $175,000 in debt following this model!

The 2022 Hillcrest Budget Challenge is designed to encourage you and your family to walk alongside our families to budget down to the penny from November 12 – 20, 2022.

Check out our social media for tips, tricks, and encouragement. Make sure to tag your progress using #HillcrestBudgetChallenge.
